Infant/Toddler Class: Coucou! (6-24 months)

Coucou! is a highly structured program conducted entirely in French that focus primarily on the caregiver-child interaction.  Adults learn to sing songs and their accompanying hand gestures as a way to deepen the bond with their children.  During the playgroups students and their caregivers will participate in nursery rhymes, songs, games, storytelling, tactile exploration, and mimicking - all in French. Each lesson focuses on a different part of your daily routine: taking meals, falling asleep, waking up, getting dressed, bathing and of course play.  This allows each family to add a little more French into their at-home time together.

We select traditional age-appropriate songs that reinforce physical, cognitive and social development of infants.  Your child will delight as we sing traditional songs like La Petite Bête, Ainsi Font Font Font, and Tapent, tapent petites mains.  Classic childrens' songs by Anne Sylvestre, Henri Dès and Henri Salvador as well as contemporary songs by Rémi will get everyone in the family involved.  Each week parents receive song lyrics and vocabulary lists to continue the fun at home.
